SPORTS: Unigames 2013

Yes, I drew out my work vacation to see them play again.Forgive the fanney green heart of me once again. But naaah, I love them to bits and pieces so I can say it's all worth it! ;)

Monday, Day 1

Nothing much happened that day. Just saw them do their drills at USLS-ISCC for an hour! :) Obviously, I just looked at my girlfriends do their thing and having a taught in my head of "Damn! Kabudlay gali sa training nila! Kapoyaaa!" (hahaha, forgive my Hiligaynon-Cebuano dialect. LOL)

And yeah, saw Yeye practicing her running attack while Ara, Cyd and Des doing back row hits. (Not that much I guess? :P)

Tuesday, Day 2

It was their first game at UNO-R against University of San Agustine. Did in 3 sets. The 3 things that summed up this game is that 1st ARA GALANG can do back row hits now. (Gaaah! Her form!) 2nd MULTIPLE POSITIONS (Literal na sumakit bangs ko just because each player did multiple positions) 3rd We definitely have a great Rookie of the Year contender in the name of Desiree Cheng :)

The venue was fully packed. Basically, the Lady Spikers was being mobbed by fans.

Wednesday, Day 3

The second game was against LPU. Did win again in easy 3 sets again. Again, each player played different positions. (Maybe Coach Ramil is experimenting or just on his usual mind game with his dimples and gum :P)

Thursday, Day 4

The third game was against DLSU-CSB. Won in 3 sets. It has good rally since the setter of Benilde is really good which by the way is the sister of Des Cheng :) This game is a given especially the girls reduce their errors and of their usual self of attacking team with really good floor defense :)

And again, Lady Spikers was mobbed once again and I saw Yeye and Ara have their own policeman accompanying their way to their bus.

Friday, Day 5

The fourth game was against if I'm not mistaken the CECAFI champion South Western University of Cebu. I expected a lot with this game since the girls from SWU are also tall and I think will give La Salle a good game since  well they're also champions. But nah ah, the game was over in 3 sets. I guess the girls from the South was stunned by DLSU's power attacks and quick plays. Basically they don't have any received so they give Lasalle easy plays that eventually killed them.

Saturday, Day 6

The fifth game was against NU. Was excited to see this because for a fact that many predicted that NU can now beat La Salle because they have now the two towers in Santiago sisters plus they have Pablo Urdas and Aganon whom I must say are power hitters. As well as Lasalle lost 3 keys players in Lis, Wensh and Che. But yeah, Lady Spikers finished them in 3 sets. ( SAY WHAT NOW? Booyeah! hahahha! Sorry not sorry!) Don't get me wrong guys, I actually like Dindin. Big respect for her great great volleyball skills. But I have my team, you have yours. Peace yo! Anyways, back to the game you will feel the big loss of JEN REYES, as you can see they rarely have a good received reasons why they have soo many errors during this game. But for La Salle, I can just say that Thank God for two good good setters! (Uy,I'm not trying to say anything here ha? :P) Aby was her usual steady beast mode self, Yeye was beyond steady on blocking and her swag. And Ara, pls? No one can stop her. Off the block, down the line, cross court, floater, off speed and now adds the legit back row hit and she's good to go!!!! :) What's good about our team is that yes we have a main libero, but you have also the libero like defense of Ara and Cyd :)

Sunday, Day 7

Err.Err.Err. Against FEU.

What can I say?

Monday, Day 8

Fast comeback in 3 sets against Adamson. And how I wished they played the same way against FEU. But yeah, they will come back stronger. I know my girls. They will do it this UAAP 76!


Now, 2 more days before UAAP 76! A month after Unigames 2013. What were the changes? How their training went on? I guess you what happened, right?

And now, they are back bitches! For MORE, for FOUR!! :)

The Captain, The Leader

Your #BEASTMODEDONTCARE catches me every time and when you do that I know your'e doing it for greater glory. I'm praying hard to send you off with a 4 PEAT and wishing you a finals MVP exit.I promised I will be there Captain. I'm tearing now, but YEAH thank you for giving us another year! ANIMO!

These two! I just can't. So good good setters and I'm so happy that they always play with ANIMO, all mind, all souls and all heart. Let's keep Rockin' shall we? :)


The Difference Maker - Cyd

I can say that she's very pretty in person and I like her skin, it suits her well. But Cyd physically changed a lot the last time I saw her during the Finals Game 2 of UAAP 75. With that, she also developed her skills off season as they are now more powerful as well as her angle hits and that's maybe because of her beach volley games. Marked her this Season 76!


The Rookies

Desiree Cheng, I dare say would be a good contender of ROY. She can kill the ball, good floor defense and yes SWAG. She got that already. Now, I just want her to be steady, push herself more and she's good to go! Ready to battle for 4PEAT.

Kim Dy, is a good blocker. Her timing was awesome. Though he played open last Unigames 2013, I can see a very good potential on her attacks. Angled as always and I like how she serves, as what my friend noticed. She serves like Michele Gumabao. Tusok! :) She had that Animo already, I know she'll have it more this UAAP 76! :)

My swagger love- Yeye

I prefered this photo because of the hype rivalry between Yeye and Jaja that took place when Jaja signed up for NU. As you can see there is really a difference as of the height but I think for you to be able to be a good and effective blocker there should be a perf timing and I think Yeye have the advantage. The big difference though, Jaja is still a rookie and Yeye will be her usual beast on the net. Some hate her because of her swagger, but cmon' bitches. It's normal! I love her swagger and I can't wait to see more of that this season! Let's go Ye! Booyeah! ;)

My phenom - Ara

I was amazed by this girl, on how she plays on the court. She can do everything and that's why I love her to bits and pieces. I don't want to elaborate the obvious skills and smarts of this talented girl but I just want to wish her well this season. I know the Animo is within your veins babygirl. Continue to amaze us and inspire us. Hit it hard, hit it with a bang! And yes, I am #ARAfied. Are you? :)

FESTIVAL: Masskara 2013

Theme: REDISCOVER and CELEBRATE BACOLOD

I can say Bacolod's Masskara Festival is one of the festivals in our country that you should not overlook! :)

Supposedly, my workouts are planning to join me this year however due to the recent Cebu-Bohol earthquake they postponed it and promised me to look into it next year instead.. So basically, I was alone going there from Cebu.

Stayed with a very dear friend and all is good for me.

Friday, October 18

Arrived Bacolod afternoon ish.. LJ (my friend) had to fetch me, went to freshen up at her house and went out immediately to grab some dinner (and I was really excited by then since Bacolod Food is LOVE!)

Dinner At Felicia's and ordered Salpicao (However, pls try Pepe's Salpicao- The best for me :>)

So basically, this might be a food blog instead! Will explain further as we go on.... PEACE! ;)

Felicia's Macaroons are to die for! My favorites are Peppermint and Blueberry :)

Supposedly will attend the MASSKARAVE Party at Art District. However, because of my fangirling thing I stayed L Fisher to check the ARCHERS instead! (Sareeeh! :>)

But I think it's all worth it, Right? :)

SAY WHAT my gorgeous archer beast!!!!! <3 Arnold Van Opstal of UAAP 76 Basketball Champion Team, The De La Salle Green Archers! Love love love! :)) (As you noticed, only AVO that I had a photo with, don't ask. MY CHOICE ala Coach Juno. HAHAHA :)) And yes, you can see the Archers roaming around Lacson Street with their Sando's and  hotness and their girls??? Err  :)

Had a nice catch up talk with LJ, who by the way stayed up late for me and was very supportive about my fangirling :)) Ooops! :P

Saturday, October 19

All morning has been a RECHARGING morning for a long and fun night coming ahead :)

Went Lacson early since there would be a Powder Party event. The fun I must say, but naaah didn't not join the rest. HAHAHA! A good  laid back chill hangs at L Sea with Lj and Joel. Waited then for the much awaited Electric Masskara who will start supposedly around 6pm. And guess what??? The rain spoiled the party!!!! No photos, Soaked wet and hungry at the same time!!! Not fun I guess? :) Decided to have dinner with brother and yes with Bacolod's Chicken Inasal! ( Should not be missed, not be missed!)

Met some Cebu friends, strung up with them a little (means drink with them the more :P LOL) and we're off to the Invasion Party by Spectrum PH (Kinda like tomorrowland ish thing) :)) And guess what? Yeah, Archers are there partying! :) Party Dance and DROP all night! Now, this is FUN. F.U.N Crazy.  F.U.N Good!!!! (And that some stories not be told for boyfriends sake LOL)

  And yes, partied with some of my good friends, Trina and Marky!!! Missed them badly! :)

Invasion are comin' for Sinulog 2014!!! And definitely booking it! Yeahboi! :)

Sunday, October 20

I planned to cover the whole Masskara Parade supposedly. Yet, because of the previous night of jumpin' and all. I can barely walk this morning like seriously Hang-O plus body sore! :)) Just stayed home the whole day and celebrated Tita Pearl's Birthday instead at Delicioso's which there Pizza wraps are delicioso!!!  :)

And offcourse Calea's array of good good deserts!

My favorites are Mudpie and Chocolate Mousse! :)

Well basically good times are good if you're spending it with the right people!

SPORTS: DLSU Green Archers: UAAP Season 76 Basketball Champions

Seriously? I am still on ANIMO High!!! 

24 hrs after the Archers brought back the crown to DE LA SALLE :) And I am still giddy about it.

Imagine my (And I must say all the Lasallians) 

6 years of heart break  (The more, 5 of them on our rivals. Go, figure! :P) was never easy.

But nevertheless, the long wait is over by a Team 13-man deep played all heart to have this CHAMPIONSHIP! 

the Story:

1st round 4-3 status. The collapse/meltdowns on their end games are the stories that I don't want to relieved. (LOL) Thus, the story of doubts from the community took place as they lose faith with the Archers. (Definitely not me)

2nd round SWEEP 7-0. The adjustments, team play and heart are the stories to tell! :)) 

vs Adamson 70/69 The mental toughness emerge as they show they can end the game winning until that final  buzzer and Almond Vosotres clutch shot to win.

vs FEU 76/66 The solid-rock composure of the Archers. No more melt-downs as they want to imposed fear on their opponents that they are already a tough bunch.

vs UP 85/63 The dominance on Rebounding, on the Boards, offensive play and more so defensive play. They are more scarier now. Peaking at the right time I guess? :)

vs Ateneo 66/64 The rivalry at its finest. Never gets old classic game between these teams. Set aside the statistics, expected that the players will play all heart and with so much pride and glory for what's infront of their jerseys. It is for the books I must say.

And I want to ponder on Coach Juno's last time out , for me one of the best huddle ever and that of before Jeron's winning shot "If they collapse, you know whose open Jeron, make a good decision" An isolation for the King Archer and he delivered!!!! 

 

vs UE 75-65 On an OT! Yes, they did it again. First-round heartbreaks no more! 

vs NU 57-55 Securing the Final-4ward status. Sharing the 1st spot with NU and FEU. A GREEN well-oiled machine it is ,who I think that time destined for greatness :)

vs UST 69-64  This game will gave you one question "Who do you need to stop on this La Salle Team?" It's either you will be hurt by our bigs? our threes? our slash? Your choice :)) 

Twice to Beat Game with FEU: 74/69 LA Revilla delivered 6/11 three's of our lives! :)) The story is if you double team our bigs,our shooters will be open and surely will hit it from the outside. If you do 1-1 defense, definitely you can see our bigs pound it hard on the paint. Our good problem right? (HAHA)

SEMIS with FEU: 71/68 Greatness unfolds! Having the heart to win, mentally tough and the ANIMO spirit of not giving up, the offensive and defensively play. Coach Juno's and we trust :) Archers are ready to battle for the crown! :)

FINALS:

Game 1 --- Yeah. UST won by a single point :)

Game 2 --- 77-70 Was a different story. Domination. Aggresivenes. Will. #NeverShallWeFail battle fought hard by the Achers and forced a do or die Game 3 :)

Game 3 ---  73-72 Greatness Attained. Crown back to Taft. And I bet all of you still know the story, how it feels and how it is good to wake up the next morning being a Champion after 6 long years! :)

TRAVEL: Bantayan Island, Cebu

SUMMER is the best season ever, atleast for me.

The Beach, the Sun, the Sand, the Waves and I'm all good with that! :)

Will share with you my Summer escapade with friends in one of the Philippines Paradise- Bantayan Island :)

A certified tripper, always on the go me spent my last Holy Week with some of my work friends on the said Island. Basically, like Boracay this island will give you the same vibe during this weekend. A good number of tourist will troop down, as all of the resorts will have its own activities to enjoy from.

You need to travel a 3hr Bus Ride to Hagnaya Port and another hour Ro-Ro ride to Bantayan Island. But  need not to worry- EVERYTHING will be all worth it! :)

Now, why Holy Week?

If again you want that Boracay Vibe and a activities you want to enjoy aside from water sports.Then choose this dates. Caribbean - all that kind of parties is EVERYWHERE. You just need to have fun! I would suggest though that if you get this dates, first book your hotel resorts ahead of time. Everything will be fully booked by then. Second, bring your craziest friends ever and HAVE FUN--  like what we did :)

Now,  Not Holy Week?

All good then, but since this is summer we are talking about locals and foreigners will still give us a good number but minus all those parties by the beach. Pure relaxation is what will you get if you decide not to go by Holy Week. Yet there are a still good number of things you would enjoy. First, Island Hop to Virgin Island- don't dare miss it! Second, Ogtong Cave in Santa Fe Beach resort is worth a visit. Third, sun rise by the beach- pure magical especially if you see it with ze lover :) Fourth, Be with your FAMILY! Creating fun memories in this island will be all worth it! :)

Yes, clingy me. It's been what? A month of abandoning you? Harsh right? As much as I wanted to post new blog entries I just can't because my summer is just fully loaded as ever. Drafted a lot of Summer entries yet I couldn't finish anything because of time constraints. Can I just ask where did my April-May go?
